INTRODUCTION
Diet Pills are a huge industry. They attract almost everyone,
due to the offers of weight loss without much effort, if any at
all. Some pills have worked, others are complete hoaxes. Most
diet pills are designed to help the obese, fat-burning pills are
marketed to all even when they may be unsafe for the simply overweight
These "metabolism raisers" MAY be capable of raising
some people's metabolisms, but if they do it's very questionable
as to how, the only safe way to raise your metabolism is to increase
your exercise.
Other pills for weight loss are diet supplements. These pills
are meant to replace what you might be lacking in your diet. For
example, omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids are needed by your body
for various functions. The biggest source for these is oily fish.
A vegetarian might choose to take a supplement for omega-3 and
6, which may help, but is nothing compared to that of fish. Also,
for protein, you may take a protein shake to help in the development
of your muscles, but it is nothing compared to the protein you
recieve from meat, whcih our bodies absorb much easier and fully.
