The weight loss is due to the detoxification and weight loss can be upto 14 pounds. On first day, you are allowed to eat only fruits and vegetables (except bananas). The next day, dieter is allowed only to eat vegetables. On the third day dieter is allowed to go for fruits as well as vegetables. On fourth day, one can have 5 bananas and 5 cups of milk. The results are seen fast in some cases. Some experts are of the opinon that one should change the diet plan if good results are seen in first 7 days; but this diet should not be taken for long time.

Thus it can be seen that it is hard to follow such unbalanced diet. Many experts don't recommend this diet as it is prone to many potential risks like tiredness, weakness, going back to overeating etc. Balanced diet, exercises are the key points and in 7 day diet there are very strict eating regulations which may cause overeating after failure.
