THE CONCEPT
Ready to Eat dieting is one of the simplest dieting methods there
are. All they entail is buying prepared, prepackaged meals and
eating them. If only dieting were that simple. These diets are
easy and they do reduce your fat, simple carb, and caloric intake.
Yet they do not cover all of the bases when dealing with weight
loss and weight management.
THE PLAN
The plan is simple, but should go beyond the basic premise of
the diet. Firstly though, you are expected to either purchase
the meals at your grocery or health food store or order them online
from a diet retailer such as NutriSystem
or Kashi GoLean. These meals
are prepared with ingredients tailored to specific dieting needs.
They are all low-fat meals, some are meant for low-carb diets,
others for diets rich in complex carbohydrates. Regardless, you
should make a decision on who's meals you will be working with.
There are store-bought dinners such as Lean Cuisine, Stouffer's,
Healthy Choice. All of these Ready to Eat Dieting options strive
fro the same goal - low-fat, easy to prepare, health conscious
meals. Some even add ingredients meant to increase your metabolism
so you burn fat easier.
The great thing about the Ready to Eat plan is that there is
no calorie, carb, or fat counting to do at all! They prepare the
meals so you can eat until you are full and yet not be consuming
considerable portions of fat or calories. They are also designed
to keep you full for longer by giving you complex carbs which
are broken down very slowly and do not get absorbed by the body
as fat.
The only issue with this diet is that for weight loss, the meals
are not sufficient. You won't gain weight eating only these meals,
but you won't lose very much weight at all without regular exercise.
Also, you should make sure to learn proper dieting methods once
finished with the prepared meals. It can be very easy to gain
back any weight lost once you have to select your foods and combine
the right amounts of calories for weight loss.
