INTRODUCTION
Diet programs are setup as something you can adhere to, to help
you attain your dieting goals. These programs come in various
forms, mostly websites, book series, instructional videos and
dvds, prepackaged meals, etc. These programs are usually a full
gamme of products, aimed at creating your dependance on them to
keep your weight in control. If its a website, the aim is typically
to keep you signed up in order to use their calculators and meal
trackers and plans, so that if you stop visiting the site, you'll
be left to your own devices. Even book programs, get you into
the first book, but there is always a tie-in with other products,
and then the multiple books from the same author sure to follow.
The trick with diet programs is finding the ones that are there
to help you. Not help you lose a few pounds, but to help you develop
your knowledge of your body and how it works, and to help you
learn how to make healthy lifestyle choices for the rest of your
life, whether or not you're paying a monthly fee or buying the
next book a year later. While most are gimmicky at best, some
offer you the chance to change things for the better, and allow
you to carry on the techniques for the res tof your life.
