PITFALLS
When deciding to go on a program, people usually choose something
that provides a certain aspect that appeals to them. Some offer
weight loss by cutting out a type of food, such as the Atkins
diet, which reduced weight management to simply cutting out your
carbs. No more counting calories, or weighing portion sizes, simple,
and claims to be effective. HOWEVER the Atkins diet is seriously
flawed. But besides all the health risks you can read about in
the Atkins diet review, there's a simple truth that remains the
same for most diet programs: once you go off the program, you
regain the weight, plus more.
Also, when cutting out a food group, a major pitfall is that
by cutting it out, eventually our bodies will crave the food,
and in addition to the physical craving, a psychological craving
will develop too. This leads us to eventually go on a binge of
the food, and any weight loss by cutting it out will be reversed.
