The cereal group is at the base of pyramid (Bread, Cereal, Rice, Pasta) and they provide B-vitamins, minerals and fiber. There are many brands available in the market (e.g. Kelloggs) that claim easy weight loss with their product.

Cereals breakfast (with skimmed milk) is one of the major components in weight loss diet plan. Cereals diet is mainly a low calorie diet and can't be called a balanced one but sufficient intake of cereals is necessary in daily diet.
