NO-CARB

NO
CARB DIET
The no-carb diet is not a good option for dieting.
The concept that you can eat no carbs is ridiculous. You need some
carbs to survive. The concept for the no-carb diet springs from
the popular results from the various low-carb diets on the market.
This diet is just an attempt to magnify the results even further.
Yet the weight loss on the low-carb diets is questionably healthy,
therefore the no-carb diet could warrant much more warning.
Even in the most restrictive phases of low-carb diets
still require a small carbohydrate intake. In the Atkins diet, during
the induction pahse (which lasts 2 weeks) you are asked to consume
20 grams of carbs a day. It then increases your carb consumption
through the procedding phases, getting up to 90 to 120 grams a day
with no weight gain.
The amounts of fat and protein you would be consuming
would leave you with strained kidneys due the increase in waste
that would need to be expelled from your body on a regular basis.
Much of the initial weight loss you would experience would be water
loss. The fat from the meat you eat would drive up your cholestrol
and make you more prone to heart disease and attacks. Overall this
is not a diet to pursue.
