HEALTH
Health is a very important part of our lives. People want to
be healthy, since no one likes to be sick. A healthy body allows
us to live our lives the way we wish, with no physical afflictions
or inabilities holding us back. A healthy body helps when fighting
illness, protecting us from sickness, and letting us live longer
and fuller lives.
Health does not mean being really skinny, it is a combination
of things. However, being healthy does rely on having a healthy
weight. Being at a comfortable weight for your height is essential
for having a healthy body. Being at your ideal weight allows your
metabolism to work at its optimal speed. It converts your food
to energy more efficiently, stores less body fat.
A body with less body fat functions optimally. Blood circulates
easier, minerals and vitamins are absorbed faster, and antibodies
travel better to keep your body free of disease.
Health is important and should be pursued by everyone. It can
be through the simplest forms of exercise,
along with a change in diet, by choosing more nutritious foods
to replace some choices you normally make that are not so healthy.
