GETTING A PROGRAM
Creating a program for your exercise can take shape in a few
forms. The important thing is that you take the time to decide
what kind of exercise you need, how often you have to do it, and
when you can do it.
If you're joining or are already a member at a gym, spend an
hour with a trainer to decide what you need. They know how to
do it, and can show you exactly how. Then, plan for days when
you don't have much to do in the evening after work, or on Saturdays,
or on lunch breaks, etc. Make it so that there won't be excuses
or reasons to miss a scheduled day.
If you aren't going all out, and have decided to make your exercise
come from Walking in your area for an hour a few days a week,
give yourself incentives to keep it up. Don't be embarrassed to
mention how great you're doing to your closest. They'll be proud
and won't hold it against you for "bragging".
