HOW TO BURN CALORIES
The actual process of burning calories is very simple. Your body
burns calories while you are sitting on the couch watching television.
Everything your body does burns calories. While resting, your
body still has to perform tasks, such as breathing, digesting
food, pumping blood through the body, all of your brain functions,
etc. When you are doing something like walking the dog or running
on a treadmill, your body is using much more calories than when
you are sitting.
You can burn calories in an infinite number of ways. Anything
that requires your body to move or do anything (except eating
junkfood) helps add to your calories burned. Every activity has
a different level of intensity, and requires a different amount
of energy. Jogging will burn more calories than walking. Every
activity has a rating for calories burned, and they are given
as a rate. This is because jogging for 1 hour could burn the same
number of calories as walking for 2 1/4 hours. This means that
you could burn just as many calories by walking, but you would
have to walk for a much longer period of time than if you were
jogging.
Physical exercise is the best way to burn calories. An exercise
program that includes cardiovascular workouts is a very good way
to burn plenty of calories while inproving your health. But it
can also be very simple. Changing some of your daily routines
like taking the elevator into taking the stairs, and walking your
dog into jogging part of the way with your dog can halp increase
your calories burned and aid in any weight loss you are attempting.
