Measuring your body fat is made quite simple, you can use one
of the many calculators on the web. There are machines that calculate
it medically for you, but they are hard to get to and a waste
of time for most. The web calculators are simplistic, yet all
that is really needed is a general idea for your body fat.
Most of the calculators will determine your percentage by either
using your weight versus your height, or your weight versus your
waist size. Others, which are slightly more sophisticated, will
use measurements of your weight, height, waist size, wrist circumference,
neck size, etc.
Whichever you choose (comparing a few results is recommended),
use your results as a measure for what you need to accomplish
with your chosen diet plan. If you find your results too high,
work on burning calories and consuming less, if you find you're
already at a proper body fat level, then you'll be free to work
on maintaining your health and controlling the level.
